Peter Butterfield, Director of Music

Peter has been an exuberant member of the St. Helen’s staff as Director of Music since 2002, bringing with him a long career in Canada, the U.S., Europe and the Far East as a performer, with baroque and classical composers forming the core of his repertoire.  He has participated in church choirs since he was a young boy, including 10 years with the Winchester Cathedral Choir.  These years in Winchester helped him to focus on teaching and conducting, and these now share the centre of his professional life.
