Community Connections

-Spring Garden Sale and Christmas Bazaar - are highlights of the year for many of our neighbours. Look for signs around the neighbourhood in April and November, or consult our Upcoming Events page.

-Fiesta Days – is a highlight for young and old in the St. Helen’s parish and the broader community. Watch for our children sporting purple and gold on their bikes, rollerblades and in strollers.

-Welcome Back to UBC Juice Bar for cyclists – Being on the official City bike route at the top of a very steep hill, St. Helen’s likes to encourage those who are making the trek on those early September days. We offer free juice and a granola bar to all passing cyclists on the first three days of school in September, between 7-9:00 a.m. This year, over 190 cyclists stopped for a snack and friendly conversation.

-Wesbrook Pre-school – has been located in St. Helen’s for over 50 years, and we are pleased to support the fine parents and teachers of this local preschool. For more information, visit their website at www.wesbrookpreschool.com

-Musical Groups – Music is a very important part of St. Helen’s life. In addition to our own choir, we are the home base for Vancouver Voices, an auditioned semi-professional choir led by Peter Butterfield, St. Helen’s Music Director.

-Community Organizations – St. Helen’s hosts numerous other community groups in its facilities, including the Boy Scouts of Canada, Alcoholics Anonymous, Kumon Math, and a dog obedience class. Please see our Facility page if you are interested in enquiring about use of our facilities for your group.
