St. Helen's Church school has a dynamic Children’s Ministry program for pre-school through  Grade 8-aged children and teens on Sunday morning at the 10:00 a.m. service.  This program runs from September through June, and is led by Louisa Farrell, Children’s Ministry Coordinator.

After joining the congregation at the start of service for an opening hymn and the Rector’s special "Children's Minute", the children then proceed to their classes, divided by age. The children re-join the congregation to share in communion, or in special events such as baptisms. All ages follow the "Akaloo Program". Akaloo means " to follow God".

The program is a contemporary, fun, interactive program in children's Christian study. The program has components of reading, drama, art, music and even science! It is a child-centred, age appropriate program that allows kids to have fun and enjoy learning about their faith!
