Each week, many parishioners help the clergy in preparing for and delivering Sunday Service. Their service includes preparing the weekly bulletin, welcoming parishioners and guests at the door, ushering, reading scripture, leading prayers, assisting with communion, working the sound system, and preparing refreshments for after-service fellowship. The wonderful Sanctuary Guild ensures the altar is complete with flowers, candles and appropriate coverings, and transforms the sanctuary during the Easter and Christmas seasons. All of these important contributions make St. Helen’s a warm and welcoming place for the new and the old.
