St. Helen’s parishioners support a number of outreach projects in the community. Current projects are described below: Food Bank We are now collecting "back to school" food items - granola bars, juice boxes and other tasty snacks for childrens' lunch boxes. Please leave your donations in the red bin located in the Narthex and we'll ensure they get to the Vancouver Food Bank. Used Eyeglasses St. Helen's collects used eyeglasses for redistribution to those around the world who cannot afford them. The lenses are reground for the needed new lens requirements and the frames are reused. If you have any please bring them in and put them in the marked box on the table at the end of the Narthex. Postage Stamps Please bring in your used postage stamps from the mail you receive and put them in the marked box on the table at the end of the Narthex. The stamps go to a charity that can convert them to money for good works. Be sure to leave a bit of a margin around the stamp when you cut it from the envelope. |
