Anglicans of West Point Grey Neighbourhood Ministry
f107
In April, 2006, St. Helen’s spearheaded an effort to minister to the homeless of West Point Grey. The Anglicans of West Point Grey Neighbourhood Ministry is a collaborative ministry offered by the parishes of St. Anselm’s, St. Philip’s and St. Helen’s to serve people living on our streets. One or more Street Ministry Teams of approximately three people walk the streets of West Point Grey two days or evenings per week, handing out care packages to needy persons and offering conversation and friendship. The care packages are donated by parishioners and include snacks, fresh fruit, clothing and toiletries, assembled   by teams from each parish.
Our September 2010 Wish List includes Men's Winter Boots, sizes 8, 9, and 10.  Used ok, but in good condition please.  Waterproof and Warm! Also, AA batteries, Warm Winter Coats, Sleeping Bags and Wool Blankets. Leave donations in the Church Narthex.

This growing ministry provides a chance for people from the three parishes to get to know one another, and to share their hopes for ending homelessness in our community.
